We have a tradition of purchasing toys for the toy drives at Christmas. After finding out the local speedway hosts a toy drive, we take the toys there, taking care to pick out appropriate toys and then we take them to the track, get to drive around the track fast in return and enjoy lunch of hotdogs in the infield afterwards.  Win/win.  We get to have fun and make some children in the area very happy at the same time.

We also enjoy going to see the Nutcracker ballet at Christmas, just sets the tone for the season and makes it feel like Christmas.

Thanksgiving dinner is at our house each year, when Wayne fixes a turkey and we work on the trimmings together.

As a child, Kelly's big joy was being allowed to drink  Pepsi out of her grandmothers crystal.

Some things never change. Whether it's few or many, the good china and crystal come out for holiday meals, complete with coke zero for Kelly in crystal.

Traditionally, we spend Thanksgiving weekend decorating the house, while Christmas movies play in the background.

All non-Santa gifts are opened up on Christmas Eve.  We're like kids at Christmas and can't sleep if the gifts haven't been opened.

Occasionally when the 'lil church at the end of the road has candlelight services, Kelly will walk there on Christmas Eve to enjoy the peaceful quiet of Christmas.
